When a family needed a new car, To The Rescue raised over $5000 to get one!
Beds
Many families don't have beds and are forced to sleep on couches or on the floor. To the Rescue has provided numerous beds (frames, mattresses, pillows, and bedding) to families in Detroit.
Car insurance
We have paid car insurance to keep families on the road and able to work.
Paid DTE bills
To The Rescue has paid DTE bills for families unable to afford to.
Helped family after a fire
To The Rescue helped house a family after a major fire. We also provided new furniture to replace what had burned, including beds and dressers.
Groceries
We have provided groceries to a number of families.
Furnished a new apartment
To The Rescue furnished a new apartment for someone who had been homeless.
Appliances
Purchased new appliances for a family in a new house.
Furniture
Provided desks, dressers, chairs, tables, and other furniture to three families.
Fixed broken windows
To The Rescue fixed a number of broken windows in a house where the family was living on the first floor.
Lanterns
We provided lanterns and batteries for a family living in a house year-round without utilities.
Paid rent
To The Rescue paid rent for a woman with nowhere to go.
